Last day off, I just stayed home again and watched a movie entitled.. "Confessions of a Shopaholic" starred by Isla Fisher and directed by P.J. Hogan. I am basically not into this type of movie especially when I don't know/like the main character in the film but I gave it a shot anyway; I was actually thinking about getting some insights about the Do's and Dont's of healthy shopping but then as the movie ebbed into its dramatic part, I was surprised when I found out more than what I have expected. Slowly, as I was beginning to enjoy the film, I realized that I am also a shopaholic myself. There were a number of scenes in the film that I was able to relate quite inadvertently. Indeed it's true when Rebecca said: "You know that thing when you see someone cute and he smiles and your heart kind of goes like warm butter sliding down hot toast? Well that's what it's like when I see a store. Only it's better." that was cutely funny, but on my part, I am more specific. My case of shopaholic is not that extreme, somehow I can still control that urge whenever I have something that really caught my eye. Maybe..let's call me...a mature shopaholic.(is there such a thing?) lol! because I'm only a shopaholic whenever I am inside the UKAYAN store..hahahahaha. Gosh..whenever I U.K myself, I am in total bliss and I can really go beyond risking my allowance and do fasting...hahahaha. Anyways, the nice thing about this film is that, at the end of it, the main character has able to overcome her debilitating obsession with shopping. Though she learned it the hard way, but she gracefully passed. One good advise to all shopaholic, from this movie, is.. whenever you see something you really like..always ask the question -- " Do I really need this?" It basically works! because I do the same...whenever-wherever. Now, I can rest my case...saying -- A MUST SEE FILM! ;-)
