Late reaction? Just when everybody's excitement about this book subsided to its denouma...I on the other hand is still swinging in climax. Well I'd like to think that I prefer not to be coaxed nor dragged especially if it involves a hundred percent of my attention. Honestly, when I observed that most of my colleagues were so turning "gaga" on this book and almost everyone sychronized in commenting that it's a page turner, I didn't listened and just gave an arched eyebrow. Who will ever fall easily to read such a thick book?! especially with the job that I have wherein during free time, Im a sleep-sucker..(heler!)
Until words came out that a twilight movie is soon to be released, that was the time that my head tilted. Then I thought it would be better to watch it than read it so I decided to watched the movie when it was premiered in theaters.
Although the movie had poor reviews majority commented by book-readers, I on the other side fell in love with it. ( big time!) The story in the movie is so tauntingly romantic..it made me so "kilig" til the end. And so that's when I decided to read the book, I thought the story in the book is more detailed than in the movie and the hell I was right!
Although there were some discrepancies if you were to compare the movie from the book but totally the plot is amazing. I must admit I'm an Edward Cullen addict now. Gosh I love his character and with much credit to Robert Pattinson, he did portrayed the character of Edward Cullen very satisfactory.
Now..Im done reading the second book (NEW MOON) and Im on my way to the ECLIPSE. When I remember how I reacted in the beginning of this Twilight phenomena, I just laugh at myself...well at least Im just being true. So here's what I can only say to those who used to be like me in the beginning, truly it's a page-turner! Love it!
